Tokyo Love Show
The Keep A Breast Foundation proudly is presenting the TOKYO LOVE SHOW, an art exhibition curated by Yasha Young. The event will take place in Tokyo, Japan on May 25, 2012 and will be open until May 31st. I worked closely with the Foundation to create a web page that would showcase all 97 artists and their artwork. Please check out the Tokyo Love Show feature page on the Keep A Breast Foundation‘s website! The breast casts will be available for purchase on May 17th!
Russ Pope – New Site Project
Russ Pope is a great artist, way before we became friends. You can learn more about him at russpope.com. I will be renovating this site shortly. Keep you posted!
Yellow Rat
Always impressed by the designs released by (Kio) Yellow Rat Clothing. This is a new banner I made for the Thalia Surf Shop home page.
Stolen Moment #2
Adio Footwear set up a big green screen to shoot footage for some commercials / video. This shot is of Roger Bagley filming Joey Brezinski. Shot with 3200 speed film using a Canon A-1.
Asia Lee – Photo Test #1
Shot a few photos of Asia the other day. Probably going to start a little series of them for her. Probably won’t all be the same style. Shot these outside around 7pm with flash fill lights using my Canon G10. Thing is a little powerhouse. Not pro, just solid.
Laffit Pincay
Shot, developed, and printed this photo many years back. Not really being a horse racing fan, or knowing who the jockeys were, I wasn’t predisposed to anything when I had the chance to shoot some photos in the winners circle area at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Later, I realized that the jockey I took a photo of was Laffit Pincay, known as the best jockey in horse racing. Crazy how things happen. Right place, right time.
‘Laffit Alejandro Pincay, Jr. (born December 29, 1946 in Panama City, Panama) is widely considered to be the best jockey in horse racing, competing primarily in the United States.’ – Wikipedia
THIS / NTR / LA
THIS Gallery in Highland Park, Los Angeles is the location of where it went down on July 8th, 2011. Nothing too profilific, but great nonetheless. Also, somewhat of a milestone for me. I had the opportunity to help push it along (again) in regards to the campaign launched by the Keep A Breast Foundation called The Non Toxic Revolution.
About a year ago, Shaney Jo Darden hired me to help with the websites for KAB. I figured I would be glued behind a desk, working out code issues, and other tasks that I have come accustomed to in the last 10 years or so. Instead in the last month or so, I have found most of my time dedicated to setting up artwork and planning out the whole event alongside SJ. Maybe she didn’t realize it at the time, but like most things at Keep A Breast, you find yourself doing things that make you rethink the reason for a job title.
The NTR Exhibition at THIS Gallery will go until July 23rd. If you get a chance to stop by, great. If not, next time. In the meantime, check the site, and join.
Available at OBEY GIANT.
