Peter Schroff is one of my favorite board shapers / artists. In the early 80s, I was a young buck, but I was really stoked on his design skills and attention to detail. Living in San Diego, I don’t remember seeing his boards around too much; I think either Mitch’s or La Jolla Surf Systems carried them. Looks like I am going to break the bank for one of these this time around.
Thalia Surf Gives Away
I did this little flyer for the dudes over at Thalia Surf. They are doing a little giveaway contest for 500 bucks worth of shop goods. The boards there are real nice, so, they cost more than 500 bucks, but 500 bucks sure takes a dent out of owning a nice junod or campbell bros.
Xanadu
Xanadu has been shaping boards for quite a while now, and I have been riding them for the last 18 years or so. Damn, time goes by fast. Xanadu is a serious about progressing board shapes and designs. Always traveling the world, working with the best. Although he doesn’t have the commercial fame and success as Al Merrick, Xanadu continues to keep those who know, pushing their own personal limits.
