Ruins

December 2, 2008 by paul nett Leave a Comment

Dug up this little clip from almost 10 years ago. Tony Larson, Jalil Jaegers, and myself traveled from Amsterdam to Roma in 2 1/2 weeks. Daniele Ramazzotti met us in Amsterdam, and greeted us in Rome (Grazie Daniele, Giodi, Mauro.. ). At the Ruins, Larson throws a few little licks to add to history.

Paint and Print: Concept #1

November 19, 2008 by paul nett Leave a Comment

This is the first in a serious of mixed media projects I intend to start. Good luck on seeing another one for a while, but if I can attempt to get myself motivated finally, this “Paint and Print” conceptual series will come to fruition.

Using 24″ x 24″ panels, I plan to paint the colors and screen print the design work. This obviously isn’t a ground breaking idea, but it’s a great departure for me in that I won’t need to use a keyboard and a mouse to be ‘creative’. With that in mind, here is the first concept so far. Given that by painting the color blocks, the lines won’t be completely perfect as shown here, which help define the look I am after.

Abandoned House

January 25, 2008 by paul nett Leave a Comment

Shot this photo two summers ago in Laguna Beach of Robbie Kegel. Kid has it going for such a young chap. The house is behind Thalia Surf Shop. Not sure if anyone lives there now, but if not, it’s a gem, reminescent of old California.

December 18, 2007 by paul nett

Had a chance to shoot a few photos of the Growlers a year or so back at my friend Josh and Tom’s house. A little shit kickin’ shin dig of sorts.

Making art at Andy’s

December 13, 2007 by paul nett Leave a Comment

These are a few photos I took before the first Moonshine Festival took place. I have some more, but here are a few to check for now. It was an all day-er and more at Andy Davis’ house in Cardiff, California. Alex Knost, Shaney Jo Darden, Thomas Campbell, and Ando himself were worked on preparing for the show and I snapped some shots and shot some vid. Hopefully will have some video to show soon enough.
